The Ore-Ida Cruisers are a family oriented motorcycle riding club based in the Western Treasure Valley and serving riders of both Idaho and Oregon. We chose to become a chapter of the Southern Cruisers Riding Club to be able and offer our members the benefits of a national affiliation, and we are Ore-Ida Chapter #347. We have no dues requirements and ask for minimal commitments.
The Southern Cruisers Riding Club is a riding club for all riders, all makes and types of motorcycles and a dedication to safe, fun rides, and operate with few rules:
No discrimination for age, sex or religion however you must be 16 years old to become a member of the Southern Cruisers and we ask that all riders under 18 be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Southern Cruisers Riding Club asks for no dues and few commitments, just asking that you ride safely and abide by the above rules.
The Southern Cruisers Riding Club's National Charity is St. Jude and holds a national Rally each year in its benefit. (As of 2008 the SCRC has donated over 1 Million dollars to St. Jude!) Chapters raise funds for St. Jude as well as their own local charities. For 2009 the Ore-Ida Chapter has chosen "The Family Place" and the WICAP Food Bank as our local charities, and our members also support the fundraising efforts of other Treasure Valley bikers for their charities through participation in poker runs and charity rides. We will be collecting food at our winter meetings for WICAP and will raise funds during the riding months for "The Family Place".
